Before all the hysterical post mortems let passions loose on the struggling electorate, the AEC should be instructed to formally recount every booth's voting papers. Remember what happened in McEwen last time, when the votes were subject to no less than three counts, and each time a different result was arrived at. The people employed to do this job are just ordinary folk, and it's not their day job. They can make mistakes. When things are as close as this, I reckon we all need to be satisfied that what we are handed is an accurate result.
