Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the position of Community Worker with Murrindindi Transport Connections Program. The successful applicant will work with the Co-ordinator to further develop the program concentrating on the eastern side of the Shire which includes Alexandra, Eildon and Marysville. The Transport Connections Program seeks to improve people’s access to services, employment, training and social activities, through innovative use of existing resources.
This is supported through the facilitation of local partnerships between health services, education and training providers, bus and taxi operators, local and State government and community members.
The Murrindindi Transport Connections Program is funded through the Department of Victorian Communities auspiced by Murrindindi Shire Council and managed by a steering committee comprised of partnership organisations that support the project.
The successful applicant will possess strong project management, problem solving, entrepreneurial, community development and community consultation skills.
