Planting opportunities have been identified in the Kinglake Ranges and Flowerdale area after the undertaking of a tree inventory of residential streets that suffered tree loss as a result of the February 2009 fires. Murrindindi Shire Council has received approval for Natural Disaster Funding that will enable the replacement of these street trees.

Two public meetings will be held to provide opportunity for residents to view the proposed planting locations, species selection and discuss the project with Council representatives.

  • 4.30pm  Thursday 16 February 2012 - Kinglake Rebuilding Advisory Centre
  • 4.30pm  Friday 17 February 2012 - Flowerdale Community House

If you are unable to attend a meeting but would like to comment on the proposed works contact Carren Hedger on 5772 0352 or email chedger@murrindindi.vic.gov.au .

Details of the proposed works are available at the following page: http://www.murrindindi.vic.gov.au/Page/page.asp?Page_Id=1992&h=0
